About Us
Established as a chef owned catering company with a passion for exceptional cuisine and professional service. Its founders, Chef Franz Epp and Chef Matthew Warschaw bring their lifetime of experience from across the globe with experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry from catering, high end hotels, resorts and Michelin restaurants. Working together for Hyatt Hotels in 2001 laid the foundation for Pure Perfection Catering’s creation in 2013 and officially began operations in 2015. Pure Perfection Catering’s first event was a wedding celebration bringing a mix of American and Filipino cuisines to the delight of the wedding couple and all of their guests.
Pure Perfection has continued to operate and continuously grow since that first event being fully licensed in Virginia and Washington DC with the ability to provide alcoholic beverage services, in conjunction with our food and professional staff for any event. Our culinary facilities are located in Herndon, Virginia which allow us to conveniently provide catering services for our clients in Washington DC and Northern Virginia’s Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun Counites.

Executive Chef and Owner of Pure Perfection Catering
Born in Germany and with the chosen profession of cooking, Franz is a Certified German Master Chef. His classical training and specialty in European cuisine comes from his work and career abroad, working in upscale hotels, and Michelin star restaurants in several countries including the Caribbean.
Franz worked with Matthew at Hyatt Hotels, and looked for opportunities to create a business together. Seeing a need for corporate catering that would offer clients, freshly prepared menus that are delicious and affordable, Pure Perfection was created in 2013 and has grown to provide catering for Weddings, In Home Events, Corporate Meetings and Company Picnics and Parties.

Matthew’s love for cooking began at the age of 8 and was the profession he pursued. He worked in Los Angeles California, in an apprenticeship while in middle and high school. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
Studying abroad in Jerusalem, Israel, Matthew did a stage in Kosher Cooking. His catering experiences include high end catering and theme park grand openings. Hi professional career includes working as a Sous Chef and Executive Chef for Ritz Carlton, and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.
Choosing to leave the corporate world, Matthew and Franz created Pure Perfection Catering in 2013. Matthew and Franz create great tasting food with personalized service; creating tailored menus and proposals for clients so their events include everything needed.
